the duo are back with their latest offering the craft, and trying to top their breakthrough album blazing arrow. the critics were torn as to whether or not they succeeded. i am somewhere in the middle. while the craft lacks the epic feel of blazing arrow, the production and overall quality cannot be denied. what many thought to be a breakout album for blackalicious that would take them alongside the popularity of outkast has floundered in obscurity. this is sure to please the hardcore fans of the band but the mainstream appeal of the craft is pretty evident. listen now to the title track to gift of gab's and chief xcel's newest offering.
